Business Development Officer: Healthcare TANZANIA

An exciting opportunity exists to join our Healthcare Client in Tanzania with full relocation support. They are looking for a strong Business Development Officer, reporting to the CEO/ Managing Director who will develop business within the country of Tanzania.
The Business Development Officer will focus on identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to grow the startup health care. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with initial relationships with procurement of Hospitals and Pharmacies and also who can help expand the company’s market presence, build relationships with key stakeholders, and drive revenue growth through new business channels and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors to drive revenue growth
- Develop and implement strategies to expand market share, including partnerships with healthcare providers, distributors, and retail chains
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry players such as doctors, hospitals, and suppliers to increase the company’s client base
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to launch new products and services
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that business development efforts align with the company’s capacity and resources
- Report regularly on business development activities, sales growth, and new opportunities to the CEO
- Attend industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to promote the company
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business development within the pharmacy or healthcare industry
- Proven track record in building partnerships and driving business growth
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative
- Ability to relocate to Tanzania within 4 weeks of application
