Chief Business Officer: Aviation/ Tanzania

An exciting opportunity exists to join our Aviation Client in Tanzania with full relocation support. They are looking for a strong Chief Business Officer who will be responsible for managing overall business operations, driving strategic growth, and overseeing the sales department to enhance revenue performance.
The CBO will also act as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, providing critical support in business decisions and daily management while ensuring alignment of operations, sales strategies, and market expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and execution of the company’s business strategy in alignment with the company’s long-term goals
- Manage and lead the sales department, driving sales strategies, monitoring performance, and ensuring revenue targets are met
- Act as Executive Assistant to the CEO, providing support in managing day-to-day activities, strategic planning, and decision-making processes
- Drive business development initiatives to expand into new markets and service offerings, including international opportunities
- Ensure that business operations and sales strategies are running smoothly and aligned with both financial and strategic objectives
- Assist the CEO in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring business objectives are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, marketing, and legal departments, to align operations with strategic goals
- Support the CEO in preparing for board meetings, investor presentations, and high-level business engagements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, operations, and executive support within the aviation industry.
- Strong leadership, operational, and decision-making skills with a focus on business growth and strategic alignment.
- Strong leadership, operational management, and sales strategy skills, with a focus on business growth and revenue generation.
- Ability to work strategically with senior leadership and external partners.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to assist the CEO in day-to-day operations.
- Ability to relocate within 4 weeks to Tanzania.
