Our client, a well-established Logistics company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Cape Town.  The successful candidate will be responsible for new business development and establishing long-term business relationships of supply chain solutions locally as well as internationally.
 
Requirements:
  • Matric Essential
  • Degree or relevant post graduate qualification
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s license
  • Proven track record of freight forwarding
  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales, business development, and strategic selling
  • Knowledge of high-level principles and procedures of customer service
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and innovative mindset
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Business Development – acquire new business with a focus on Medium to Global accounts
  • Manage and report on Client profitability, revenue, and year-over-year data
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Management and Research – market intelligence
Tender / RFQ/RFP management – where applicable
